Voids are “Eggshell Stickers”
Why do we call them Voids? Because of branding? We wouldn’t name our adhesive bandages, Band-Aids. Now that that’s outta the way, let’s talk about ’em.
Voids are Destructible Stickers, AKA Eggshell Stickers. Destructible Stickers are usually used for tamper-evidence on products. So if it’s tampered with, the product is invalid. Or in other words, Void. See what we did there?
Like all Eggshell Stickers, Voids are NOT coated. Stickers get coated for visual reasons but also for protection from water and light to stop them from bleeding or fading. Coating these stickers would get rid of their flexibility and their ability to crack like eggshells. Voids are NOT waterproof or fade-resistant. In no way, shape, or form are Voids, or any Eggshell Sticker, permanent or considered for outdoor use.
That being said, Voids are still pretty damn durable and could have a long lifespan depending on where you stick ‘em. We recommend avoiding putting them in direct sunlight, and avoiding using vibrant colors in your designs since they tend to fade faster than dark, bold colors. If you are printing black, we suggest using a rich black. We like using C=60 M=40 Y=40 K=100.
